ProspectingTo reach your target and grow your business you need to be very sharp at “Prospecting” and Closing Sales.

Being great at closing sales is not gonna happen until you understand how to prospect to actually get those leads required to achieve your closing sales in your business. Prospecting is a critical skill to develop if you want to increase your sales and achieve long-term success within sales. Many people don’t invest enough time to learn prospecting skills yet alone be taught this skill through their companies.

Here’s something to think about whilst prospecting.

Remember when writing the list of family and friends and ending up in the NFL club?  I bet some of you have been there in the NO Friends Left Club as we called it.   Well I too used to think like this and its definately not the right mindset to have.  I can remember going to do presentations confident as amongst  my family and friends unyet coming out feeling like I was takeing advantage of them just to make a sale.

Why did I feel this way?

The drop out rate stood out a mile. My mind was into sales and not prospecting and closing.  In my rural township was a lot of unemployment and much to do with the bush and tourism and sewing factories.  Most were drop outs from school and had big families of their own.  What I luved about them all was they too had big dreams and big goals.    Majority have never really run a business yet alone an mlm business or even knew how to market.  Money was passed and they gained nothing but here she comes again.  I carried the burden that I had used so many of them and took their money and ended up in the NFL club.

Well I’m happy to say today I’m more than confident to do it all again.  Why?  Because I always believed I had the gold in my hands with whatever mlm business I was involved in.  I believed in the concept and I believed in the company and I also believed in my upline and I still do. It was my mindset that would bring me down as sucked in what others thought like a sponge.  You see to be successful in all you do in any industry is your MINDSET.

You need to have a strong mindset when prospecting.

There is a big difference between making a sale and prospecting.  Prospecting is looking for people who have a problem or need for your solution and are genuinely interested in what you have to offer.  The only way to find this out is connect and ask questions whilst building a relationship.

Reflecting on the drop out rate well obviously they did not take it by the horns and run with it or even try 100% to build it.  So it doesn’t always mean they will build the business or are good prospects. So don’t go blameing oneself.

Always provide solutions don’t go there to make a sale, be genuine.  Help THEM, not how they can help YOU.
